Robert Nathaniel Hite

Robert Nathaniel Hite, 67, of Mt. Carmel, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years and liked to farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Stella Hite; sisters, Margaret, Loretta, and Elsie; and brothers, Paul and David.

Robert is survived by his brothers, Johnny (Sherry) of PA, Harold (Betty) of Mt. Carmel, Tim (Elizabeth) and Wilbur (Kathy) of Rogersville; sisters, Iva and Jeff Peterson, of NC, Inza and Clark Gibson of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews; a host of great friends, especially Janie Crawford, Barty Arnold, and Dennis Linkous.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Veterans Hospital in Johnson City for their care and prayers for Robert, to the doctors and staff of Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for their care and prayers for Robert, and special thanks to the doctors, nurses, housekeeping staff, chaplains and everyone at Hospice and Wilcox Hall for all the prayers and care for Robert.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday (December 1, 2014) at 11:30 a.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors.
