Robert "Bob" S. Hubble

Robert Bob S. Hubble, died at his home on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Bob retired from Holston Army Ammunition Plant in 1991 after a nearly 40 year employment, including time in management/supervision. He also was retired from a 48 year part-time employment with Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes. Bob was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church of Kingsport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shuler and Della Davis Hubble; four brothers; two sisters; his first wife, Freddie Smith Hubble; and a brother-in-law, Mike Rawlings.

Survivors include wife, Carole Keeble Hubble; sons, Gary and wife, Becky, and Danny and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Christy Beane and husband, Brian, Ben Hubble and wife, Jennifer, and Jessica Alley and husband, Matt; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cindy Rawlings; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Crossroads United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 4 to 7:00 pm. A service of celebration of the life of Bob Hubble will follow visitation with Pastor Randy Lantz and Rev. James Hartley officiating. Music will be provided by John Powers and Margie Ballard.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ben Hubble, Brian Beane, Matt Alley, Dallas Hubble, Don Smith, Ronnie Hubble, Carlton Hubble, Walter Hubble, Jack Gillenwater, Herman Simmons and Luther Fields.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church Building Fund, 200 Bays Cove Trail, Kingsport, TN 37660 or charitable organization of donor's choice.
