Robert Lee "Rob" Ward

Robert Lee Ward, 76, Kingsport, was called home early Tuesday morning, January 19, 2016, following a brief illness. He was born in Kingsport, where he had lived his entire life. Rob served as a Sullivan County Constable for the 13th District for many years and retired from the Kingsport Housing Authority.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 14 sisters and brothers.

Rob is survived by his children, Rhonda Fugate and husband, Tracy of Rogersville, Robin Baines of Kingsport, Mark Ward and wife, Rhonda of Church Hill, and Gabe Ward of Church Hill; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Clint Ramey officiating. At our father's request casual attire and hats are welcome.

The graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Depew's Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Noah Baines will be the honorary pallbearer.
