Robert Ray

Robert Ray, 64, of Kingsport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Brookhaven Manor following a lengthy illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and attended Kingsport First Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Ray retired from Securities Services Network. He was loved by his family and everyone that knew him.

His father, Jim Ray, preceded him in death.

Survivors include, his wife Diana Ray, of Kingsport; daughters, Julia Stapleton and husband Cotton, of Kingsport, Page Lewis and husband Dewayne of Kingsport, Laura Rhoton of Kingsport; son, Rusty Barbour and wife Kawana of Kingsport; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; mother, Margaret Ray of Kingsport; sister Betty Ann Quesenberry of Church Hill, brothers, Roy Ray of Kingsport and Dean Ray and wife Linda of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Legg officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Memorial Park, family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 3/265.
