Robert Thomas Struzenberg
Robert Bob Thomas Struzenberg, 73, Kingsport, passed on to a better life at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Bob was born in Chicago and had resided most of his life in Florida until moving to Kingsport in 1990. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from IBM in sales and marketing. Upon retirement he became a realtor joining the ReMax family.
Bob enjoyed golfing, especially playing in the Senior League. He was known for his quiet manner and wisdom of guidance.
His sister, Mildred S. Doyle, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Duncan Struzenberg, Kingsport; a stepson, Thomas Nantz; and three step-granddaughters, Katie, Hannah, and Heidi.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Don McCann officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the organization of one?s choice.
