Robert Teter, Jr.

Robert (Bob) Teter passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Bob was born on February 7, 1942 in Anmoore, WV. He attended Virginia Tech and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1965. He worked for Eastman Chemical Company his entire career.

He was a very active member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and attending Virginia Tech games.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; two sons, Mike and Bryan; 3 grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, and Jonathon; his brother, John; sister, Elizabeth and her husband, Bill Akin; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10-10:45am at Mountain View UMC on Saturday, December 4, 2021. The funeral service will follow at 11am. For those that are unable to attend, the service will be streamed live on the church’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mtviewumc.

Arlene, Mike, Bryan and family… I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was such a wonderful man. Heaven gained a great angel. There are so many great memories of pour families together, I can't point out just any one, but Bob will be missed and forever treasured and loved by me, my family and so many others who share in your loss. Please know you all are in my heart and prayers and may you find comfort and peace in knowing Bob is with the Lord watching over us all now, not suffering, no pain, whole again. I love you all very much.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I knew him from Bible Study Fellowship and sometimes I would see him where I worked. He was one of the finest people and Christian I have known. Just a kind and gentle giant. Prayers for everyone.

Always enjoyed seeing and talking to Bob at the Gym. He had a great sense of humor and a faithful love for his savior. Praying for his sweet wife and family, Lord give them peace that passes all understanding.
