Roberta "Birdie" Strickler
Roberta "Birdie" Strickler, 85, of Mt. Carmel, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 17, 2013 after a brief illness. Born in Greenville, TN, she had lived in Mt. Carmel since 1960. She was an adorable mother and loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sherman Strickler, and three sisters, Wanda, Geraldine and Grace.
Birdie is survived by her son, Mark Strickler of Mt. Carmel, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery.
A very special thanks to everyone who cared for Birdie during her illness.
