Roger Glenn Bowman
Roger G. Bowman, 67, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2013.
He retired from Tennessee Eastman Company. He loved to hunt and liked to work with wood.
Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, June and Ruth Bowman.
Roger is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lou Bowman; son, Rich Bowman; daughter, Becky Meade and husband, Steve, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Jacob Bowman, Brooklyn Meade and Bailey Meade; brother, Don Bowman and wife, Pat, of Kingsport; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 with Pastor Lewis Meade officiating.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Home National Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts # 3/265.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4205 Hillsboro Road, Nashville, TN 37215.
