Roger Alan Hauk

Roger Alan Hauk, 57, Kingsport, died Friday July 17, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Sullivan County where he resided all of his life.

Roger was a 1970 graduate of Ketron High School. He was employed with Eastman Chemical Company from 1975 till present where he worked in the C.E. Division. Roger was an active member of Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder. He was an avid Nascar and Tennessee Walking Horse fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul S. Hauk.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Jennifer S. Hauk; mother, Joyce L. Hauk, Kingsport; brothers, Thomas D. Hauk and wife, Rita, Kingsport, and Michael L. Hauk and wife, Connie, Purvis, MS; nieces, Becky Hauk, Amanda Sampson and fiance, Jeremy Nichols, and Jenna Hauk; great-nieces, Caitlin Hauk, Isabella Price, Mekayla Million, Savannah Greene, Madison, Trinity, Shyloh and Gracin Herron; nephews, Doug Hauk and wife, Melissa, Joey Herron and special friend, Jaime Duncan, Michael Herron and wife Gina, and Jeremy Herron and wife Cindy, Patrick Hauk, and Zachary Sampson and fiance, Alexandria Evans; great-nephews, Tyler Hauk, Trevor Greene; and soon-to-arrive, Christopher Sampson; mother-in-law, Lona H. Sampson, Kingsport; two brothers-in-law, Danny Sampson, Bristol, Johnny Sampson and wife Debra, Monroe, NC; and sister-in-law, Cindy Herron and husband Jerry, Castlewood, VA.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport with Dr. Ira Howard, Brother Ed McLain and Evangelist Michael Herron officiating. Music will be provided by the Reedy Creek Presbyterian Choir and Liz Laney.

Graveside services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Eastman C.E. Division's Processing Crew 1 team members and Craig Ruth, John Tipton, and Brandon Hartgrove. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given to Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church, 6044 Orebank Road, Kingsport, TN 37664.
