Roger W. Montgomery

Roger William Montgomery, 65, of Kingsport, passed away, June 19, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was raised and had resided most of his life in the Tri-Cities area. Roger was a graduate of The University of Tennessee. He retired from Eastman after many years and worked several years as a realtor in Townsend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Graham Montgomery and brother, David Montgomery.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Evangeline Montgomery; three sons, Robert Montgomery and wife, Laurie of Kingsport, Andrew Montgomery of Kingsport; and John Montgomery and wife, Stephanie of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Mariah, Matthew and Stella; mother, Ruby Quillen Montgomery; brother, Fred Montgomery and wife, Betty of Church Hill; and two nephews, Mark and Blake Montgomery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22nd from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Mickey Rainwater officiating.
