Ronald "Ronnie" Franklin, 64, of Fall Branch, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at his home. He was born in Gardendale, AL, and had resided in Fall Branch for the last 30 years. He was the previous owner of Ron's Custom Painting and Finishings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Geneva Franklin, Jr.; stepson, John Morelock; two sisters, Ruby Mobley and Sylvia Harrison; five brothers, Albert Franklin, Rev. Rufus R. "Tommy" Franklin, Jr., LeRoy Sorrett, Pat Sorrett and Al Sorrett.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Edith Franklin; four daughters, Geneva Yerby Pridmore and husband, Greg, Veronica Morelock and boyfriend, Tyler Edwards, Carol Parker and husband, Anthony, and Rena Clough; two sons, Ronnie Franklin and wife, Melissa, and Henry Morelock and girlfriend, Crystal Painter; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Sandy Jerkins and husband, Al; three brothers, Charles Sorrett and wife, Vera, Don Franklin and wife, Faye, and Rev. Bobby Jo Franklin and wife, Ada; special friend, Lynda Shorty Martin; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 17th, from 10-11:00 am at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Bobby Jo Franklin officiating.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Hutson, Tyler Edwards, Shorty Martin, Billy White, Anthony Parker and Henry Morelock.
