Ronald "Ron" Hite, 54, of Fall Branch, died Friday morning, March 6, 2009 at his residence following a valiant fight with cancer.
Ron graduated from Daniel Boone High School and was employed with Tennessee Eastman for 33 years. He loved the outdoors and was a great horseman.
He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend to everyone who knew him.
His mother, Bertha Mae Roberts Hite preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Georgia Ellen Shanks Hite of the home; one son, David Aaron Hite, Bristol, TN; his father, James Earl Hite, Fall Branch; one brother, Jimmy Winton Hite and wife Christine, Jonesborough; special niece, Natasha Ellis; special nephew, James Eric Hite; special cousin, Sherree Davis; and many beloved family members.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. James McNeil officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Glen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Davis, Eric Hite, Winton Hite, David Hite, Tommy Shanks, and Terry Good.
Memorials may be made to the Johnson City Medical Center Hospice, 101 Med Tech Parkway, Suite 100, Johnson City, TN 37604.
