Ronnie Absher

Ronnie Absher, 60, of Kingsport, left this world for his heavenly home on September 5, 2015 with his family at his side.

He loved life, his kids, and most of all, his grandchildren. He will forever be missed by all of his friends, family, and anyone else who knew him.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon McClellan Absher; son, Henry Dee Absher; father, Richard D. Absher; mother, Inez Faye Absher; step-mother, Dessi Absher; sister, Avonell Faye Absher; father-in-law, Henry Cotton McClellan, special sister-in-law Terri McClellan; and special niece, Sharon R. Crawford.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Absher Ketron and husband, Travis, Rebecca McCracken and husband, David; son, Eddie Massengill; step-son, Jason Bernard; brothers, Matthew Absher and Emmitt "Butch" Absher; grandchildren, Kelsey Neeley, Madyson Absher, Riley Absher, Ethan Absher, Aimee McCracken, (Big Boy) Little David McCracken, Khloie Massengill, and Jordan Babb; mother-in-law, Nitsie McClellan; special sister-in-law Terra Crawford; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and step/half brothers and sisters; and special friends, T.J. Bernard and Jr. Hart.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Raymond Hammonds and Rev. Brian McClellan officiating.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Chestnut Flats, Scott County, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Absher, Travis Ketron, Tim Crawford, Eddie Massengill, Ethan Absher, B.J. McClellan, and T.C. Crawford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Emmitt "Butch" Absher, T.J. Bernard, Jr. Hart, Sean McClellan, and Bo McClellan.

Special thanks to Amedisis Hospice: Connie, Jonie, Becky, and Judy! To Dr. Kevin Mischia, Thanks for the phone calls and moral support. We will never forget it. You are a wonderful man and doctor!
