Rosa Ann Dean

Rosa Ann Dean, 67, of Duffield, VA passed away peacefully Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Lonesome Pine Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born in Sullivan County, TN on May 23, 1947, a daughter of the late Bill and Violet Dean, she has resided in the area most of her life. She was a member of Arnold's Chapel and was a homemaker.

She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mom; mamaw, sister and friend who loved to sing and spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara Dean and Louise Ferguson; one brother: Steve Dean.

She is survived by two daughters: Rita Hensley and husband, Randy of Jonesville, VA, Daveda Davis and husband, Andy of Tellico Plains, TN; four grandchildren: Jennifer, James, Tiffany and Taylor; five great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Jason, Jayden, Jordan and Jacob; three brothers: Billy Dean of Church Hill, TN, Jerry Dean and wife, Gladys of Kingsport, TN, and Jeff Dean and wife, Amanda of Kingsport, TN; four sisters: Betty Brickey of Kingsport, TN, Nancy Light and husband, Carson of Rogersville, TN, Linda Hodges of Church Hill, TN and Judy Ball and husband, Jimmy of Church Hill, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the chapel with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Vernon Heights.

Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
