Roscoe Morelock

Roscoe Morelock, 86, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born in Hawkins County, he had resided most of his life in Sullivan County. Roscoe had retired from AFG. He attended Gospel Mission Church. Roscoe was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved to mow his yard and to feed the squirrels and birds that lived in his yard. Roscoe loved grocery shopping and looking for the best deals.

Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Darlene “Dot” Morelock; son, Allen Morelock and wife, Trish; two grandsons, Travis Morelock and Dallas Morelock and wife, Brittany; seven great-grandchildren, Gavin, Bentley, Grayson, Aubree, Carter, Dawson and Kennedy; sister, Iva Nell Crawford; and several siblings in Indiana.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dan Dolen and Rev. Shelton Meade officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00am at Light Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dallas Morelock, Jeff Wallen, Robert Littleton, Butch Morelock, Chris Bragg, Mike Morelock and Mickey Taylor.
