Roy Glenn Bishop

Roy Glenn Bishop, 66, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center. Roy was born March 18, 1958, in Sullivan County where he remained a lifelong resident. He was employed by Mullins Company for many years. 

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Arthur “Boy” Bishop and Clora Morelock Bishop. 

Survived by two sisters, Judy Malone and Carolyn Fugate; three nieces, Lora Carper, Sherry Lawson (Anthony), and Kristy Fugate; stepson, Rockie Overbay (Amber); step-grandson, Brandon Christian (Brooke); special cousin, Austin Fugate; and several other cousins and loved friends. 

Receiving of friends will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 5 -7 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home - Fall Branch. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm officiated by Rev. Bob Simpson. The burial will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Lone Star Cemetery Lone Star Road, Kingsport, TN, 37660. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
