Roy R. "Pidge" Frazier

Roy R. "Pidge" Frazier, 78, of Kingsport, went to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Clinchport. VA and had resided in Kingsport most of his life. He retired from TVA and was a former employee of REA Express and Mason-Dixon. Pidge was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688 and The Jericho Temple "Roadrunner" and Clowns; VFW Post 4933 Color Guard, American Legion Post #3 Honor Guard, Bloomingdale Fire Department and Color and Honor Guards and was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Margaret Reed Frazier; sister, Ruby Rhoton "Harry"; and sister-in-law, Beatrice Frazier.

Pidge is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dot B. Frazier of Kingsport; son, Randall Barrett of Blountville; sisters, Helen Pennington and Geneva Long; brothers, John Henry Frazier and wife Jean; all of Kingsport, TN; and Charlie Frazier and wife Beth, Gate City, VA; several nieces and nephews; two special great nieces, Angelina and Gianna Harrotuian.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.

Music will be provided by Kaylors Chapel Quartet.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at East Tennessee Cemetery with military honors conducted by The American Legion Post 3/265 and The V.F.W. Post 4933. They will also serve as pallbearers.
