Ruby Jean Estepp, 72, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Friday, December 8, 2006 at Wilcox Hall after being in a coma for 7 weeks.

Jean was born in Sullivan County and resided in the area her entire life. Her last three years were spent living with her grandsons, who were her joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Martin and Georgia Mildred Dougherty; her husband, Harry Estepp; three brothers, Roy Martin Dougherty Jr., Earl Lindon Dougherty, and Walter Paul Dougherty; one sister, Margie Virginia Stone; and one nephew, Carl Dougherty.

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Estepp Winkle and husband, Rick; two grandsons, Garrett Thomas Winkle and Griffin Stewart Winkle, all of Kingsport; one brother, James Edward Dougherty of Nashville; two sisters, Bobbie Lane of Kingsport and Betty Nickels of Tampa, FL; one sister-in-law, Emma Dougherty of Kingsport; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will follow at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hal Dougherty, Walter Dougherty, Eddie Dougherty, Larry Dougherty, Randy Dougherty, Gary Dougherty, Richie Dougherty, Tim Lane, and Ken Stone.

Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport is serving the Estepp family.
