Ruby Cecil Foxx

Ruby C. Foxx, 96, of Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital. She was born in Kingsport and resided most of her life in Greene County. She was a member of Lovelace Baptist Church. She had a special love for people and enjoyed her family and friends and flowers.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Effie Carr; son, Ronnie Foxx; husband, Elbert Gregg and two brothers.

She is survived by two sons, Donnie Foxx and wife, Donna, of Chuckey; Lonnie Foxx, of Fall Branch; daughter, Connie Sparks and husband, Joe, of West Jefferson, NC; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Aylene Ferguson, of Fall Branch and Priscilla Waycaster, of Baileyton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 30, 2012, from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. A celebration of life will be Friday, August 31, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Victor Wallace and Rev. Allen K. Brummett officiating. Graveside services will follow at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be E. B. Moore, Roy Ryan, James McNew, Wayne Elliott, Jeff Burke and Eddie Ferguson.
