Ruby Lawson

Ruby Lawson, 92, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2019. Born in Scott County, VA, she had resided most of her life in Fall Branch.  Ruby was a member of Walker’s Fork Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Lawson; daughter, Brenda Davis; son,  Don Lawson; parents, Ezra and Mary Gibson; and several brothers and sisters.

Ruby is survived by 3 daughters, Nella Phillips and husband, Les, Debbie Monette and husband, Robert, and Sandy Owens; 3 sons, Larry Lawson & wife, Carolyn, Virgil Lawson and wife, Darlene, and Clyde Lawson and wife, April; daughter-in-law, Jean Lawson; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Emma Drone; brother, Leonard Gibson and wife, Kathleen; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor David Salley and Pastor David Bolden officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at East Tennessee Cemetery.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
