Russell Mack Jackson, 82, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Life Care Center of Greeneville.
A former resident of Jearoldstown Community, he was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Tennessee Eastman. Mack enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He never met a stranger.
Mack is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Jackson, six sisters and five brothers.
He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Baker and husband Steve of Bulls Gap; one son, Bill Jackson and wife Cindy of Jearoldstown; two granddaughters, Jennifer Wach and husband George and Sara Jackson; one great-granddaughter, Lilly Wach; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1p.m. - 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Dave Snyder and Rev. Richard Long officiating.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Bethany Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #3/265. Pallbearers will be nephews, great nephews and friends.
