Ruth McCrary Bacon, 77, 642 Painter Road, Fall Branch, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at her home.
Ruth was born in the Harmony Community where she resided her entire life. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Kate McCrary, her sister, Peggy Isaacs, and an infant sister.
She us survived by her husband, Billy Paul Bacon, of the home; sons, Gregory Bacon, of the home, Anthony Bacon and wife, Michelle, of Kingsport, and Sidney Bacon, of Harmony; four grandchildren, Alexandra, Joseph, Presley, and Bowen; and sisters, Helen Harr, Kingsport, Pauline Malone, Greeneville, Wanda Gibson, Limestone, and Alice Trafford, Greeneville.
The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch, on Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30. Services will follow at 7:30, with Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bacon/Kincheloe Cemetery in Fall Branch. Pallbearers will be John T. Brown, John W. Brown, Wayne Painter, Brian Mitchell, Chris Watson, David Cox, and Russell Brown.
