Ruth Bolden

Ruth Bolden, of Kingsport, was born January 7, 1926, in Kingsport, Tennessee. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John B. Bolden; her son Junior B. Crawford; her parents, L. C. and Bessie Greene; two sisters, Carol Waggoner and June Hromadka; three brothers, Lester Greene, Clyde Greene, and Don Greene.

Surviving are four children, Dolores A. Goins and husband, Charlie, Jack S. Crawford, Linda Joyce Smith and husband, Wade, and Ricky J. Bolden; seven grandchildren, Michael J. Gravens and wife, Tammy, Bobby G. Gravens and wife, Sharon, Angela J. Rosenbaum and husband, Troy, Amanda C. Jones, Virginia Davidson, John Smith, and Shanda R. Bolden; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Rogers and Phyllis Byrd; three brothers, Frank Greene, John Greene, and Jerry Greene; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will follow at 8 p.m., with Rev. Jack Crawford officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack S. Crawford, Ricky Bolden, Wade Smith, Troy Rosenbaum, John Smith, and Bobby Johnson.
