Ruth Horne Brumett
Erna Ruth Horne Brumett, age 76, of Bristol, TN, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was retired from the JC Penney Company in 1998 after 38 years of service.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Brenda Brumett Burgett and husband Ronnie of Nashville; two grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; three sisters; four brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tommy Haynes officiating.
Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Middle TN; 4205 Hillsboro Pike, #216; Nashville, TN 37215.
