Ruth Angeline Burden, 73, of Jonesborough, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 12, 2011.
Ruth deeply loved her family, friends and church and was the heart and soul of the entire family. A resident of Jonesborough for the past 15 years, she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kingsport Ward.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Burden; mother, Ruth K. Brennan; and brother, Kevin A. Brennan.
Surviving are her 8 children and their spouses: Christopher Burden; Shereen and Michael Campbell; Tammera and Lawrence Holton, III; Melinda and Raymond Hicks, Jr.; Bethany and Rolf Dalloz; Michael and Beverly Burden; Kelly and Christopher Marshall; Erin Burden Pugh; 17 grandchildren: Amanda West; Lauren Smith; Candi Smith; Ryan Burden; Mindy Death; Robert Campbell; Larry Holton, IV; Rachel Holton; Ashley Hicks; Jennifer Dalloz; Melissa Dalloz; Krystel Dalloz; Jason Burden; Nicholas Burden; Autumn Burden; Kyle Marshall; Alec Pugh; along with 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her father, Richard H. Brennan, and her 4 siblings and spouses: Richard Brennan, Jr.; Karen and John Domogalik, Sr.; Victoria and Charles Cheshire; and Shawn and Karen Brennan.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:45 pm, Friday, February 18, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 100 Canongate Road, Kingsport. A funeral service will immediately follow in the church at 7 pm with Bishop David Debry officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charitable organization of your choice, in memory of Ruth A. Burden.
