Ruth Irene Johnson
Ruth Irene Johnson of Kingsport passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Netherland HealthCare. She was 86 years old and resided in Kingsport most of her life.
Ruth was an artist and avid golfer before declining health and was a retiree of Tennessee Eastman Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Ben Johnson, Fred Johnson, Hiram Johnson, Jay Johnson; and a sister, Cleo Carter.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Dorothy R. Johnson of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ruth's caregivers, Ann Hagy, Norma Livesay, Yvonne Barton, Earlene Edison, and Susie Hensley for the excellent care and attention they gave.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Carl Strickler officiating.
