Ruth L. Moore

Ruth L. Bledsoe Moore, 95, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 2013.

Ruth was born in Scott County, VA and resided in Kingsport for most of her adult life. She was an employee of the Sullivan County School system and retired as manager of the Sullivan Elementary School cafeteria in 1994.

Ruth was a longtime member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble E. Moore, Sr.; three sisters, Della Vanzant, Stella Moore and Evie Hubbard; and one brother, Bruce Bledsoe, Sr.

Surviving are her daughter, Norma Shoun and husband Fred of Kingsport; son, Noble E. "N.E." Moore and wife Betty of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Debi Range, Brannon Moore and Paige Harper; five great-grandchildren, Josh Range, Madison Ely, Decker Moore, Hannah Moore and Dustin Smiley; one sister, Georgia Ward of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 to 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow visitation with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.

Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends will serve as pallbearers.
