Ruth Conkin Page

Ruth Conkin Page, 3775 Thornton Dr., Kingsport, formerly of 1557 Redwood Dr., Kingsport, went to be with the Lord at 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was born in Sullivan County where she had lived her entire life. Ruth was employed by Massey's Cleaners in Greenacres where she was a cashier and she was also a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Page 1995; son, Johnny A. Page 1972; sisters, Gladys Grissom and Jean Bell.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Sherry Taylor and husband, Larry of Kingsport, Mrs. Lisa Norris and husband, Mike of Kingsport; son, Larry Michael Page and wife, Debby of Daytona Beach, FL; sister, Linda Johnston and husband, John of Hendersonville, NC; brother, Kenneth Conkin of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Bryan Page and wife, Angela, Brad Page and wife, Rachel, Tiffany Taylor, Paige Norris, Michael Norris; three great-grandchildren, Alex Page, Jonathan Page, Andraia Gordon; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will begin at 8 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Baker and Rev. Mike Stout officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
