Ruth Hardy Richardson

Ruth Hardy Richardson of Kingsport reached out for the hand of Jesus Monday, July 20, 2015. She was born in Danville, VA, and had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. She was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church and served in the Top 40, Circle # 3 and a committed Christian. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John T. Richardson; three daughters, Sherrie Renfro and husband, Todd, René Faulk and husband, Donnie, and Edie McGlothlin and husband, Greg; five grandchildren, Donald Wayne Faulk, Dylan Faulk, Sarah Renfro, Dalton Faulk, and Gaines McGlothlin; one sister, Fern Stapleton; one brother, Alonza Hardy; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Mountain View United Methodist Church. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Sam Ward officiating.
