Ruth leaves behind a multitude of friends that she truly loved and loved being with. She loved playing cards and appreciated spending time with her family and friends, remembering and appreciating all the blessings she had. Her favorite passage from the bible is the parable of the Prodigal Son. Like the Prodigal Son, she truly was looking forward to her return home to her Heavenly Father.

Ruth has requested that she be cremated and her wishes are being honored. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to the service.

A special thank you goes out to the wonderful nurses, nurses' aids, dining staff, janitorial services and support services at Holston Manor Nursing Home. Ruth truly was blessed to be in their loving care for the last two and a half months of her life. May God bless them all for what they do every day for the patients entrusted into their care.

In lieu of flowers, if you choose to do so, the family requests you remember Ruth with a memorial contribution to St. Dominic Catholic School, 2517 N. John B. Dennis Hwy, Kingsport, TN 37660.
