Ruth Beatrice Stewart

Ruth Beatrice Stewart, 98, Blountville, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Franklin Woods Hospital.

Ruth was the best and most sharing cook in Blountville and known for feeding everyone. She was a loving Mother, Sister and Nannie who was the most caring person you could meet. Her heart and arms were always open.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cross Stewart; her parents, John and Nannie Large Ketron; sisters, Ursula Rich, Ruby Wilson, Mary Frost, and June Stewart; and brothers, Roy Ketron, Roscoe Ketron, and Miles Ketron.

She is survived by her son, Johnny W. Stewart and wife, Cheryl, Blountville; her grandchildren, Matt Stewart and family, Arizona, Chad Stewart and wife, Jerri, Blountville, Joey Stewart and wife, Ashley, Blountville, and Johnny E. Stewart, Blountville; her great-grandson, Bailey Stewart; her sister, Annalee McCray; her brother, Ralph Ketron; and lots of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson Chapel, Kingsport. The service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm L. Shelton officiating and singing by Cindy Shelton.

The graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Blountville. Pallbearers will be Chad Stewart, Joey Stewart, John Stewart, and Bailey Stewart.
