Mrs. Street was one of my dearest friends, and one of the most influential people of my life. I took her theatre class all four years of high school at Sullivan South, even though I only got credit for one year. I knew I wanted to make a career of theatre and dance and she helped me nourish my talent and my dream. She provided me with countless opportunities to develop my acting, directing, and choreography skills, during the many productions we did from 1990-1994. We also went to New York and London together and maintained an active friendship after I graduated high school.

True to my heart of hearts, I went on to get my degree in theatre and dance and own a ballroom dance company, Absolute Ballroom, in Knoxville, TN. Every time I do a performance or direct a show, I draw upon the many things I learned from Mrs. Street. She will forever be in my heart and her wisdom will always be a guiding light for my career and In my life.

She touched so many lives with her amazing light. She will definitely be missed and always remembered. She loved her family dearly and it is a sad time for everyone that knew her. Every time I feel myself falling into sadness, I do my best to overwrite the tears with the plethora of wonderful memories we had together. I hope everyone in her family can do the same to help heal the heart ache from her passing.

Also, a special thanks to Dan Street for taking the time to call me back last week. I missed your call and called you several more times last week, but kept missing you. I felt an urgent and compelling need to check on Mrs. Street, and now I know why. We shared a special connection and I really appreciate you being such a good son to her.

Thank you to all of her family and friends for making her life so rich and full.

Love and Light

Mrs Street was my drama teacher at South . She cast me as the scarecrow in the wizard of Oz. My heart goes out to all of you. She was such an inspiration to me and so many others ♥️
