Ruth W Winiger

Ruth W. Wininger, 82, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 5, 2007.

Mrs. Wininger lived most of her life in Kingsport and was a charter member of Higher Ground Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brice S. Wininger December 28, 2003; her parents, Owen and Julia Wade; one daughter, Betty Joan Wininger; three sisters, Reba Smith, Bonnie Hutson, and Irene Ketron; and one brother, Eugene Wade.

Surviving are her daughter, Penny Starnes and husband, Gale of Church Hill; one grandson, Ben Starnes and wife, Charlene of Kingsport; three great-grandchildren, Kera, Chris, and Katelynn; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will follow at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Burkhart officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
