Sally Madge Stallard, 89, Kingsport, died Thursday December 8, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was a charter member of Life Bridges Christian Church. She graduated from Ft. Sanders Presbyterian Hospital school of nursing, the University of Nebraska (BSN), and the Baylor Army University of Health Care Administration (MHEA). Sally began her nursing career at Holston Valley Hospital and completed it as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Army Nurse Corps.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nell Stallard; three sisters, Eileen Porter, Ruth Wilson, and Betty Pope; one brother, Cary Stallard.
Sally is survived by one brother, Herman Stallard, Weber City, VA; and several very special nephews and one niece.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at Holston View Cemetery with Mike Smith, minister and Scott Plyler, minister officiating. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
