Samuel "Sam" Isaac Howard, 81, Fall Branch, went to sleep Friday, March 1, 2013 at Indian Path Medical Center. He was born February 11, 1932 in Washington County, TN and a lifelong area resident.
Sam was a retired farmer and avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Pauline Howard; a sister, Anna Lee Kolarsky; and his parents, Floyd and Lola Morton Howard.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Rhoton and husband Jimmy of Fall Branch; his son, Charlie Howard and special friend Pam of Fall Branch; two granddaughters, Rachel Wright and husband Steven and Tiffany Gasperson and husband Jacob, all of Fall Branch; two step-granddaughters, Misty McFarland and husband Adam, April Collings and husband Matt, all of Sullivan Gardens; four great-grandchildren, Tori Collins, Gregory Wright, Alissa Kindle, and Haylee Townsend; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 8 p.m. at the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. Mark Willis officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Howard Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Kolarsky, Steve Kolarsky, Robert Howard, Donald Howard, Rick Russell, and Jeff Burke.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Hall, Rowland Davis, Denzil Crawford, Don Haren, Russel Cox, Eddie Williams, and Jim Phillips.
