Samuel Ketron

Samuel Ketron, 60, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

He was a lifelong resident of the Kingsport area and of the Pentecostal faith. Samuel enjoyed horses and his mule named "Famous Amos".

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sallie Ketron; brothers and sisters, Gerald, Paul, Daney, Iva Jean, and Thelma.

Surviving are his children, Jennifer McClellan and husband Keith of Kingsport, Andy Ketron and wife Michelle of Church Hill, and Donna Tester and husband Larry of Bristol, TN; ten grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ruby Bell, Rita Day, Terry Childres, Bearl Ketron, Robert Ketron, Jr. and David Ketron, all of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his nephew, Josh Ketron.

Calling hours are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or anytime at his residence. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jackie McCracken and Rev. Charles Bogle officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Ketron, Travis Ketron, Tony Grizzle, David McCracken, Ethan Golden, Ethan Pearcy, and Nicholas Harper.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be greatly appreciated.
