Sandra Lee Darnell Letterman

Sandra Lee (Darnell) Letterman, 63, a lifelong resident of Kingsport, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 after a battle with lung cancer.

Sandra was kind and generous. She has kept the faith that she will join her loved ones with the Lord. Her family and friends love her dearly and will miss her but never forget her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil B. and Mayme J. Darnell.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Cindy Bennett and husband, Ray, Surgoinsville; her brother, Keith Darnell and wife, Roma, Kingsport; her granddaughter, Samantha Bennett, Surgoinsville; her niece, Jana Darnell, Kingsport; her nephew, Tyler Darnell, Kingsport; her aunts, Janice Massey, Michigan, and Irene Helton and husband, Hubert, Michigan; her uncle, JC Darnell and wife, Helen, Kingsport; and special cousins, Stanley McMurray and wife, Karen, Johnson City, Barbara Nelson and husband, David, North Carolina, Todd Massey and wife, Candi, Michigan, and Tawnya Buchtell and husband, Jim, Michigan.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter at 349 Lauren Drive and the home of her brother at 3301 Misty Drive.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Brother Troy Hall officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
