Sandra Kaye (Hamilton) Overbay

Sandra was called home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was born on October 31, 1951, in Kingsport, TN, to Freddie and Jean (Houser) Hamilton. Sandra was an employee of Eastman Chemical Company as a Demand Planner and retired after many years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed spending her time crafting/decorating, cooking, and caring for her dogs.  

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Jean, and brother-in-law, P. Reece Jenkins. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James E. Overbay; daughter, Angela N. Overbay; sister, Brenda H. Jenkins; father, Freddie T. Hamilton, and special friends. Nicole Price and Ernie Miller.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2630 Hwy. 75, Blountville, TN. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Mike Boatfield. A graveside service will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane.
