Sandra Palmer Wagner, 70, of Kingsport, died early Saturday morning, March 8, 2008 at her home.
Born in Scott County, VA, she had lived in Sullivan County practically all of her life. Sandra was a Troop Leader in the Girls Scouts of America for many years. She always enjoyed the outdoors.
Sandra was a member of Mafair United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Lester and Lois Palmer; brothers, Robert Palmer and John Palmer; sister-in-law, Donna Palmer; grandparents, Clarence and Eva Palmer, and John Henry and Victoria Enix.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd W. Wagner; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Mark Moore, Melisa and Randy Bledsoe; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Anita Wagner, Wesley and Mary Wagner, Marc Wagner and wife Sherry, all of Kingsport; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Celeste Palmer Dickson and husband Kim; brother, Gary Palmer; two sisters-in-law, Janet Palmer and Carolyn Palmer, all of Kingsport.
Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David M. Burton and Chaplain Bob Gibson officiating.
Entombment services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Vic Burdine, Allyn Troutt, Brandon Wagner, Alex Dickson, Brian Palmer, Greg Palmer, Andrew Palmer, Chris Moore, Michael Farthing, and Steven Wagner.
The family extends a special thanks to Adventa Hospice Service, Eleanor Graham, Tammy Moody, Earlene Haynes, Barbara Darrow, and Chaplain Bob Gibson.
