Sandy Linkous

Sandy Linkous, 65, of Kingsport, died on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Born in Kingsport, where she resided all of her life, she was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and retired from the Kingsport Press where she worked for many years. Sandy was an avid University of Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball fan and NASCAR (Jimmie Johnson) fan. She loved her dog, "Gracie".

The family would like to thank the staff at Holston Manor for their care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Irma Linkous.

Sandy is survived by her sister, Barbara Wilmoth and husband, Bob of Kingsport, nieces, Gina Geisler and husband, Danny of Piney Flats, and Shawna Smith and husband, David of Kingsport, and nephew, Jason Wilmoth and wife, Tammy of Mt. Carmel.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday at 12:00 in Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at 11:50 am at the cemetery.
