Sandy Nelson

Sandy Nelson, 73, Kingsport, went to Heaven on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was born and raised in Big Stone Gap, Virginia and had lived in Kingsport for over 50 years. Sandy loved working in her flowers and spending time at the beach. She liked bluegrass and old country music. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sandy loved her furry cat children. She never met a stranger and she loved to talk. Sandy was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Hannah Redwine.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Larry B. Nelson; son, Travis C. Nelson (Susan); sisters Janice Paveglio (Jim) and Judy Langrel (Dennis); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm at Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
