Scott Dorton

Scott Dorton, 46, of Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010. Scott had attended Sullivan North High School and was the owner/operator of Scott's Flooring, Jonesborough. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Dorton, and his paternal grandmother, Ann Dorton.

Scott is survived by his wife, Suzy Dorton, Jonesborough; his daughter, Ali Letts and husband, Nate, of Greeneville; a son, Alex Dorton and fiancée, Bridgette, Jonesborough; two grandsons, Draven Letts and Faysal Dorton; his mother, Betty Dorton, Kingsport; special cousins, Rodney Applegate, Tommy Applegate, and Gary Applegate; and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with Pastor Michael Robinson officiating.

Scott's friends will serve as pallbearers.
