Sgt. Billy D. Ferguson
Sgt. Billy D. Ferguson, 66, Kingsport, passed away October 3, 2014, at his residence. Billy voluntarily served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Pearl and Fleming Ferguson; brother, Danny Ferguson, and sisters, Susan Hanes and Therssa Shay.
Billy is survived by his sisters, Pam Kilgore and husband, Gary, and Kathy Dingus and husband, Curtis; brothers, Stephen Ferguson, Larry Ferguson, Dallas Ferguson, and Stewart Ferguson and wife, Linda; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 am at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.
