Shelby Jean Ketron Hartsock, 67, Kingsport, finished her race on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Indian Path Medical Center. She is now singing with Daddy and dancing with the angels.
A lifelong resident of Kingsport, she touched many lives and was dearly loved as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
Her husband, John Henry Hartsock; and parents, Charlie and Crota Ketron preceded her in death.
Surviving are four daughters, Gina Pennington and husband Jack, Kingsport, Beverly ?Birdie? Hartsock, Kingsport, Tonia ?Toddie? Hartsock and husband Jeff, Hiltons, VA, Brandy McDavid and husband Kenny, Kingsport; one son, Johnny ?Plug? Hartsock, Kingsport; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Ketron Vicars and husband Pete Cole, Kingsport; one brother, Michael Ketron and wife Beverly, Gate City; several nieces and nephews; and three special friends, Tom, Amanda, and Jane, who gave her joy during her last months.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hermon United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Tate, Wade Ketron, Gilbert McNutt, Jacob Ketron, Scott Short, and Randy Hartsock.
