Shelby Lee Light

Shelby Lee Light, 62, of Rogersville, Beech Creek Community, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at home. She was a loving wife and mother. Shelby attended Gospel Mission Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jerry Light; father, Ornie T. "Ike" Light; mother, Clyde Dora Luster Light; stepmother, Kate Gibson Light; sister, Shirley Morelock; and step-brothers, Bill Gibson and Roger Light.

Shelby is survived by son, Chris and wife, Shiree; grandchildren, Devin Bledsoe and Alyssa Steadman; great-grandson, Austin Proffitt and Jaycob Steadman; brothers, Charles "Slick" Light, Ornie Junior Light; sister, Norma Jean Smith; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 10th from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch and anytime at the home of her son Chris, 1217 Martins Glen Ln., Gray, TN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Lewis Meade, Rev. Shelton Meade and Brother Dan Dolen officiating. Music will be provided by Roy Dolen and singers.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 11th at 11:00 am at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dolen, Justin Meade, Ivan Light, Glen Light, Johnny Light, Mike Light, and Charles Scott. Honorary pallbearer will be George "Mo" Moore.
