Shelia R. Lawson, born August 1, 1962, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 due to a lengthy battle with several long term illnesses. She graduated with honors from Sullivan North High School in 1982. Rather than attend college Shelia chose to follow her greatest desire, that of being a housewife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy McClellan.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Lawson; son, Jared Lawson; mother, Nedia McClellan; brother, Keith McClellan and wife, Jennifer; special nieces, Amber and Heather McClellan; sisters, Angie Parson, Lisa Babb and Tammy Luckett; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday at 1:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor David Foster officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
