Sherry ("Sis", "Aunt Bo") Lynn Smith (born October 20, 1956), 58, Fall Branch, TN, departed this life on Sunday, May 17, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away at the home of her aunt and caregiver, Carolyn Walker in Fall Branch, TN.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emmett and Selma Cutshaw; brother, Mike Jones; cousins, Scotty and Chris Light, Allen Pitt; aunt, Sherry Cutshaw; and special uncles, George Walker, Clarence Pitt, and Danny Poore.
Left to cherish Sherry's memory are her parents, Betty and Raymond Jones; beloved friends, Tamra Skeen, Danny Fleming, Lisa Sams, and a host of others; aunts and uncles, Jo and Jack Light, Francis Pitt, Billy Cutshaw, Cathryn and Fred Franklin, and Carolyn Walker; numerous nieces and nephews and special cousins.
She cared deeply for the physicians at Kingsport Orthopedics and appreciated their love and support. Her coworkers gave her strength.
The family would like to extend a loving thank you to Dr. Marco De Silva, Lisa and all the staff at Kingsport Hematology/Oncology.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 28, from 6 to 8 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arcadia United Methodist Church, 3954 Bloomindale Rd., Kingsport, TN 37660-7004, Colonial Heights United Methodist Church (music program), 631 Lebanon Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663, or to the Humane Society of one's choice.
