Shirley Brockwell Adcox

Shirley Brockwell Adcox, 72, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. James Adcox, and her parents Earl and Maude Pleasant Brockwell and several siblings.

Survivors include her sons: James Mark Adcox and wife Dawn of Kingsport, John Matthew Adcox and wife Diane of Gray; daughter: Sherry Szczepanski and husband Richard of Kingsport; grandchildren: John Mark Carter, Donald Jason Carter and Emma Grace Adcox; great-grandchildren: Chris Carter, Olivia Carter, and Angela Carter; brothers: Tommy Brockwell and Robert Brockwell; sister: Judy Davis; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Rock Springs United Methodist Church. Services will follow at 1:00 with Pastor Mack Turner, Pastor Jeff Strong, Pastor Paul Hite and Stanley Hite officiating. Graveside services will be in Tri Cities Memory Gardens.
