Shirley Ruth Coffey

Shirley R. Coffey, 79, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Kathleen Frye; three sisters, Phyllis Taylor, Helen Little and Lois Jennings; and two brothers, Roger Frye and Darrell Frye.

Shirley is survived by her beloved husband, Elvin Coffey of Fall Branch; daughter, Sandy Woods and husband, Dennis of Kingsport; son, Mike Coffey and wife, Roena of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Brandon, Matthew, Heather, Jamie and Blake; five great-grandchidren; sister, Betty Leonard and husband, Robbie of Baltimore, MD and Harold Frye of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Robert Coffey officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Woods, Matthew Woods, Jamie Coffey and Blake Brookshire.
