Shirley J. Larkey

Shirley J. Larkey, 79, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday (March 30, 2014) after a short illness.

Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed needle work, gardening, canning, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was always there to help her family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Larkey; and her parents, John and Jeanette Cross.

Shirley is survived by three daughters, Wilma Larkey, Delores Larkey, and Deborah Marshall and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Crystal and Randy Smith, Heather Osborne and husband, Greg, and Darrell Marshall; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kiley, and Jason McMillian and Brady Smith; brothers, Conley Cross and wife, Wilma, Virgil Cross and wife, Evelyn; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday (April 2, 2014) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Brandon Canter officiating.

The graveside service will be on Thursday (April 3, 2014) at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
